Is there a paint technique to make wood look like brushed metal? Like a brushed steel or nickel look. I have wooden knobs and pulls that i want to paint to look like a brushed metal. i can’t afford to buy actual brushed metal knobs and pulls so need to find a way to make wood look like that.
Also i already have metal fan blades that are painted bright yellow, i want them to be the same effect of the brushed metal look is there a technique to do this look or a product that i can use to give everything that effect?
Note: i do NOT want them to be shiny, i want that dull brushed look.

Maybe chrome is the word i am looking for instead of nickel.

There are metallic paints you can buy. A good brand is Modern Masters, and it comes in lot of different finishes. It has tiny particles of real metal in it. A paint store would be the place to find the best variety… hardware/home stores don’t have a lot in the way of metallic paint, except for shiny radiator paint.

Please note, I am mentioning this brand because I’ve used it, but there are other good ones.

I am writing to inform you that there is a disco that is scheduled for year 7 and 8 on the 15th October 2009 we will appreciate it if you could kindly fill in the form below so we can prepare for how many students will be coming, The disco will start after school and will continue until 7.30pm students will have to make their own way home.
Please have the slip in by no later than 12th october 2009
and ask students to give them to their form teacher
PLease meet in the main reception after school

Techno is usually a bit faster and colder than house music. That’s the only real difference, although you probably won’t get vocals in techno music.

electronica is a whole different kettle of fish. It’s too big a genre to really define, but wereas house and techno have 4/4 beats (constant rhythms), electronica generally doesn’t. Sometimes it does have lyrics, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s really not that easy to define though.
